General Information st

The 1 edition of the Master in Arts, Management and Administration begins in October 2015 and classes end in December 2016. We expect you to submit your Application and send the documents within and no th later than May 15 2015. The application can be sent first and then be completed with the required documents. The selection process The selection process begins in September 2014. When the School receives your application, it carries out a pre-selection based on the documents sent. The Admissions Committee lets the candidates know if they are considered suitable to proceed with the selection process. Applications are examined on a rolling basic: those received much in advance of the th deadline (May 15 2015) have a greater chance of being admitted. It is therefore in the interest of all candidates to submit their application as early as possible. The final assessment of each application will take place once the candidate has completed all required tests and submitted all required documents. Candidates admitted into the Master program must confirm their participation based on deadlines set by the Admissions Service. SELECTION CRITERIA AND REQUIREMENTS: The selection process is based on an overall analysis of the following factors: Application form This has to be completed in English and it is available exclusively online at: The application should include your CV, your passport size picture and precise information on your personal and professional experiences, as well as the reason why you want to attend the Master Program. Degree Certificate and Transcript The SDA Bocconi Master in Arts, Management and Administration is aimed at graduates in any discipline (with preference for candidates with a background in the Humanities or any Social Sciences) with at least 2 years of working experience. Candidates are required to submit an original/official or certified degree certificate (in English or Italian) from the college, school or university attended. This certificate must show the type of degree, the enrolment date and the date of graduation. This must include grades for individual subjects with the grading scale. Applicants who obtained a university degree in Italy must provide a self-declaration of the Degree Certificate and Transcript (form provided by their university). This self-declaration is only for students graduated from Italian universities.

Proficiency in English All applicants must have good written and spoken English. If English is not your mother tongue, you must take the TOEFL, IELTS (Academic), PTE Academic or Cambridge Proficiency (CPE) tests. A test result may be waived for students who took their degree in English or can document significant professional experience in an English-speaking country. Candidates for the 2015-16 edition of the Master in Arts, Management and Administration must take the test by the end of May 2015. At the test site, you will need to specify that you want your results sent directly to SDA Bocconi (for TOEFL by indicating our School Code 0698, for PTE by indicating our School Code R7G-6R-23). If you have already taken the test, the original results must be sent directly to the School. Any test results from before January 2010 are no longer valid. TOEFL website: IELTS website: PTE website: CPE website: SDA Test The SDA Test, offered in English, assesses quantitative, logical and verbal skills. Enrolment for the SDA Test will be communicated by the Admissions Service once the pre-selection is complete. Interview Candidates will be required to have an interview which may be held: •at SDA Bocconi in Milan, •the interview may take place remotely (with webcam). Application for sponsor companies This is to be completed by a company representative (using the special form on our online application) only if the company intends to back the participation in the Master Program of a candidate through partial or total payment of the tuition fee. This form should be emailed to: [email protected] The application must be accompanied by: • CV and passport size pictures to be uploaded to the online application • copy of ID or passport • Admissions Procedure Fee - Euro 100 The selection result Once the selection process is completed, the Admissions Service will inform the candidate of the result of their application in writing, whatever the

result. In no case is the result communicated by telephone. If accepted, the candidate receives the official letter of admission to the Master Program and the contract for participation. If all the available places have been filled, the School may decide to place the candidate in a waiting list or offer admission for the next edition. While fully aware of the commitment that all candidates make in the admission process, SDA Bocconi does not provide individual answers to nonadmitted candidates. FINANCIAL COMMITMMENT The Master Program involves considerable commitment, both personally and financially: mandatory attendance through the Master and the lack of significant holiday breaks make it impossible to carry on any parallel professional activity that might contribute to support participants financially. Admissions Procedure Fee EUR 100 Tuition fee: The total fee is EUR 21.000 to be paid in four instalments: st 1 instalment: EUR 5,250 on acceptance of your admission to the Master Program nd rd 2 instalment: EUR 5,250 by October 23 2015 rd th 3 instalment: EUR 5,250 by January 29 2016 th th 4 instalment: EUR 5,250 by April 29 2016. The fees include: • teaching material (some text must be purchased separately) • access to the School’s database and facilities. • Courses in Italian language (possibility of attaining the CILS qualification of Italian Language Proficiency).

Furthermore the University provides international students with information about possible sources for financing in several countries. In addition, most banks in all countries offer low-interest loans for postgraduate specialisation courses. Further details are available online at:

Pre-courses Pre-courses are not mandatory but strongly recommended for students who do not have a business background or who do not speak Italian. The total fee of pre-courses is EUR 2,000. Pre-courses are: Contemporary arts appreciation, Introduction to accounting, Italian language. Personal expenses The costs of living in Milano is comparable to that of other major European cities. An average monthly cost of EUR 1,500-1,800 should be considered for personal expenses. FINANCING The School assists candidates in their search for funding by supplying the necessary documentation and encourages them to explore all scholarships and loans possibilities in time. In particular, Bocconi makes low-interest loans available to admitted students, thanks to agreements with some partner banks and financial institutions.

SDA Bocconi School of Management reserves the right to cancel the MAMA program, with the only obligation to refund the first instalment and with no further liabilities on its part, in case the number of qualified applications is not sufficient to guarantee the qualitative standards of the School.
