APPLICATION AND REGISTERING If you have been approved by your University to study at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Turin, you have to refer to the International Mobility Office of the University for the incoming procedure. On the University International Mobility Office's website you can find all the information on how to apply, acceptance, deadline, resident permit and accommodation English version: http://www.unito.it/llp_erasmus_programme.htm Italian version:http://www.unito.it/istru_stud_incoming.htm After your arrival in Grugliasco, you can contact any member of the Erasmus Commission of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (see below). We may arrange a meeting together in which we will give you the Faculty's Bookguide - Guida dello studente), the timetable of courses and we will help you for any didactic or academic problem. Before returning home, at the end of your studies at the University of Turin, you have to contact again the International Mobility Office of the University to formally conclude the Erasmus period. The International Mobility Office will give you the certificate of stay, the transcript of records and, if you have passed the final exam, a certificate for the Erasmus Italian Language Course.

ITALIAN CREDITS, ASSESSMENT AND GRADING SCALE ITALIAN CREDITS The italian credits CFU (Crediti Formativi Universitari) are ECTS compatible: 1 CFU = 1 ECTS. ASSESSMENT Almost all exams at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Turin are oral. For every course there are several sessions throughout the year (please refer to the Faculty's Bookguide – Guida dello studente, and to the Faculty web site). In our faculty all courses are taught in Italian. As lectures and assessment are in Italian we strongly reccomend students to attend an Italian course for foreigners (see below). GRADING SCALE In Italy, university grading scale goes from 18 (minimum passing grade) up to 30 (maximum) and “30 e lode” (excellent). FACULTY’S GUIDEBOOK – GUIDA DELLO STUDENTE On the “Faculty Bookguide – Guida dello studente” you will find all the information regarding the courses (regulations, programs, didactic material, exams, etc.). The bookguide is available free at the Faculty’s student counter, at the Library, by the Erasmus Commission, and on line (pdf version) at http://veterinaria.campusnet.unito.it/.

ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES Erasmus students can attend a five weeks free Italian Language Course during the academic year. Three levels of the same courses (beginner, intermediate, advanced) take place every semester. There will be an assessment test at the beginning of each course. The Italian Language Course is organized by the International Mobility Office of the University of Turin. Most students live in private residences or share a rented apartment with other students.
