ECO-Bead filtration The water is pumped into the filter tank (A). By the unique Vortex inlet, the water is forced to rotate in the fibreglass tank. The rotation ensures that the heavy dirt particles get collected in the bottom of the filter, from where they easily can be drained out through the drain valve (B). The pump must be in operation and the control valve normal filtration position. All heavy particles can be removed in just a few seconds (the valve has to be closed when the drain water is clean). This makes the ECO-Bead filters to the most efficient of their kind.

An effective filter does not collect dirt particles but removes them! The water in the tank is slowly forced upwards through millions of beads. On the surface of these beads live billions of nitrifying bacteria which are consuming a large amount of ammonia, nitrite, etc., also called for nitrification. Like this you get crystal clear and healthy water in your garden pond. The water continues flowing upwards through the beads and flows out of the tank through the topspraybar (C). Then is flows further to the 6-way valve and depending on its setting (FILTER) the water flows back to the pond.

Back-flushing and rinsing procedure When the filter is mounted and installed, we recommend to wait with the first backwash until 14 days after. In warm periods the backwashing should be performed once a week and in colder month it can be reduced to one time every two or three weeks. Follow below procedure: 1. Open the drain valve (B), while the pump is operating. Leave it open for 15-20 seconds and close it again. Thus all the large dirt particles get emptied out from the bottom of the filter tank. It is important to remove these particles from the filter in order to achieve a good water quality and an effective filter performance. 2. Turn off the pump and set the 6-way valve into BACKWASH position. Then the pump has to be started for 2-5 minutes, until the water in the inspection glass is clean. Turn off the pump again. In some cases it can be advantageous to re-open the drain valve for ½ to 1 minute, as the BACKWASH procedure can loosen so many particles that it is necessary to open the drain valve again. 3. Set the 6-way valve in RINSE position, start the pump for a short time, until the water in the inspection glass is clear and turn the pump off again. 4. Set the 6-way valve in FILTER position and restart the pump. Art. no.

ECO-Pool filtration The water is pumped into the filter tank through the unique spraybarsystem (A), and seeps through the filter sand, where all dirt particles accumulate. The clean water is pumped through the horizontal laterals (B) and then back to the installation. By back flushing (Backwash) the filter, the water flow is automatically reversed and pumped through the laterals (B) over the spraybar (A) and further into a drainage, i.e. a sewer.

To ensure, that the accumulated dirt particles get removed from the filter and to prevent the sand from encrusting with dirt (this reduces the filter capacity considerably), the backwash procedure should be performed every 4 weeks.

The winter protection of the ECO-Pool is very simple: Set the 6-way valve into OPEN Position and open the bottom drain valve (C).

Maifan Stone, also known as "bakuhanseki” (in japanese ) , is a special mineral rock, used in Japanese and Chinese medicine for treatment of various skin diseases. Maifan Stone is composed of minerals, including but not limited to plagioclase feldspar, orthoclase feldspar, hornblende, and biotite (silicate minerals). Maifan Stone contains plenty of micro-nutrient elements, such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, copper and selenium, all essential for an optimal balance in any living organism, as they enhance the density of micro-nutrients in the water.
